Introduction to the new Executive Director

For those who have not met me yet, my name is Jennifer VanderSchaaf and I came on board as the new Executive Director at the NCM at the end of March this year. I come from a background of music, completing my grade 10 piano with rudiment, theory and harmony through the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. I also taught piano from my home for several years when my children were younger, before moving onto administration and technical support positions. My family is very musical, and through the years I have had the opportunity to be a part of musical groups myself, in either playing, singing or managing. Aside from my love for music, my joy comes from spending time with my partner, my three grown children, and our three precious grandchildren.

It is such a pleasure and delight to have the opportunity to work for the Nanaimo Conservatory of Music and be a part again, of this wonderful organization!
