At the Nanaimo Conservatory of Music, we offer personalized lessons in a wide variety of instruments and voice, tailored to meet the needs of every student. Our faculty are experienced, caring professionals who work with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
Instruction takes place in the Conservatory’s studio at 375 Selby Street in the heart of Nanaimo’s Old City Quarter. Scheduling is arranged directly with your instructor to ensure flexibility and a personalized learning experience.

Jazz Studies
Jazz studies offer personalized instruction focused on creativity, improvisation, and musicianship. Students learn jazz theory, rhythm, and stylistic techniques while developing the confidence to express themselves through music. RCM Instruction
All of our instructors are RCM certified teachers. Individual instruction following the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) pathway offers a structured, goal-oriented approach to music education. Students follow a progressive curriculum with clear milestones, developing strong technical skills, musicality, and theory knowledge while working toward nationally recognized certifications.

Suzuki Method
Fostering music education and life skills, the Suzuki Method focuses on learning by ear and collaboration between parent, teacher, and student. Both parent and child learn together, with private lessons supported by group classes that build confidence and connection through playing music as a community.
